Abandoned Vehicles

by Cristi Kauffman on April 18, 2022

We have several issues with owners parking vehicles on the streets and leaving them for several days, weeks and in some cases months. Many of the vehicles do not have current state registration.

According to Arizona law, an “abandoned vehicle” is a vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer that is subject to registration and has been left on public or private property, whether lost, stolen, abandoned, or otherwise unclaimed.

Per our community CCRs, overnight parking is NOT permitted for any vehicle of any type, especially vehicles not registered to their respective state. Due to this being act being a violation of the state law and prohibited per the community CCRs, all vehicles left parked on the street overnight will be towed at the owner’s expense.

If you or your tenant have a vehicle that is parked on the street overnight, please address this issue immediately as the board will be enforcing parking. All non-registered vehicles violating the state law will be towed immediately and this will be the only notice given to the residents.
